Auris Hearing Ltd ("we", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it and what your rights are under the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

The data controller is Auris Hearing Ltd, registered in England & Wales (company no. 14872310), Unit 4, Riverside Business Park, Manchester M15 4LA. You can reach our Data Protection Officer at privacy@aurishearing.co.uk.

What we collect

  • Order data: name, delivery address, email, phone, payment confirmation.
  • Account data: if you create one — email and password (hashed).
  • Hearing profile: the calibration results from the Auris app, stored on-device by default.
  • Support data: the content of any messages you send us.
  • Usage data: anonymised analytics about how the website is used.

Why we use it

  • To process and deliver your order (contractual necessity).
  • To provide warranty support and respond to enquiries (legitimate interest).
  • To send order updates and trial reminders (contractual necessity).
  • To send marketing emails — only if you opt in (consent).
  • To improve the website and product (legitimate interest).

Who we share it with

We share data only with the suppliers needed to run the business: our payment processor (Stripe), shipping carrier (Royal Mail / DPD), email platform (Postmark) and customer support tool (Help Scout). We never sell your data to third parties.

How long we keep it

Order records are retained for 7 years to meet UK accounting and tax obligations. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. Hearing-profile data is deleted within 30 days of account closure.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or to stop using it for marketing, at any time. Email privacy@aurishearing.co.uk and we'll respond within 30 days. You can also complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies to make the site work and an optional analytics cookie (Plausible) to understand traffic. You can decline non-essential cookies via the banner on your first visit.
